The Friends of the Newark Monastery, Inc. is a non-profit organization formed by a group of lay Catholics who arranged to finance and purchase the Most Blessed Sacrament Friary so that the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal could bring their mission of evangelization, renewal and service to the poor of the Newark area.

As every Friar freely dispossesses himself of any personal properties or benefits, the Friends’ sole purpose is dedicated to the maintenance of the building, walls and property as well as, covering the cost of insurance and enhancement of the property. The funding of which remains entirely dependent on donors. In this way, we allow the Friars to focus entirely on their missionary role.

Donate a Vehicle

Donate Vehicle to the Friars

The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal rely on donated cars, so sometimes people ask, "What do you do if nobody donates one?" This photo of Br. Frantisek in Ireland may be an indication of what the friars have to resort to! The Lord continues to provide for this and every other need, but the friars to keep asking. Please remember the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal if you are ready to pass along your vehicle, as long as it has more horsepower than this one.  Please email one of the board members and they will put you in touch with the right person to assist with your generous donation.
